Welcome to the Team

There are new faces & roles at KIAC, and we’d like to introduce you to the new members of the KIAC team!

Although this face is not new to KIAC, her role is! Graciela Zapata has accepted the position of Operations Manager at KIAC and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations. Previously KIAC’s Volunteer Coordinator, Graciela has been taking on additional responsibilities over the last few months and she is now in a position that reflects those tasks & responsibilities, including volunteer coordination! Graciela was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. She loves soccer and regularly watches soccer games. Graciela has two daughters and two granddaughters. She is an avid reader and spends her free time with her two dogs and her cat. Thanks for all you do for KIAC, Graciela!

Kimberly Cizek Allen has joined the KIAC team in the role of Development & Marketing Director. Kim has lived in Kitsap since the age of 2 with a brief hiatus to attend Linfield College in Oregon. Although Kim has spent a good part of her professional life working as a Registered Nurse, non-profit fundraising, marketing and event planning is her passion. She worked with Kitsap Humane Society in a variety of fundraising roles and supported other Kitsap non-profits with fundraising, event planning and marketing support. When not working, Kim loves getting lost in the forest, snorkeling the waters of the Salish Sea, snuggling and caring for animals, and reading a never-ending stack of books.
