Support KIAC’s Holiday Celebration for Immigrant Families!

Last year, Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center hosted a holiday event for our clients at our office. It was such a success that we have outgrown our space and we’re going all out this year!

On Saturday, December 9, KIAC families will gather at the East Bremerton Community Gym for a day of holiday cheer. There will be activities for kids like face painting, holiday crafts, a photo booth, pictures with Santa, a book corner and lots of delicious food! We expect approximately 300 families in attendance.

All families will go home with a goody bag filled with a $25 gift card to either Walmart, Winco or a gas station; hygiene supplies; and holiday treats! Plus, every family will be signed up to receive toys from one of our local partners (listed below).

There are plenty of ways to get involved and support KIAC’s Holiday Celebration for immigrant families!

Donate Funds:

• Donate funds to KIAC to purchase items for the event (be sure to select “Holiday Celebration” in the donation drop-down)

Volunteer:

• We are looking for volunteers to help make this event possible. We’re looking for volunteers to:
  • Help check in clients at the event
  • Serve food and clean up food areas
  • Help children pick out an age-appropriate Spanish book
  • Hand out holiday bundles
  • Decorate and help set-up
  • Transport families to and from the event
  • Dress up as Santa Claus or Santa’s Elf for photos with kids!

Donate Items:

• Donate Spanish language children’s books at Ballast Book Co. or Eagle Harbor Book Co.
• Donate Walmart or Winco “Family Friendly” Gift Cards in $25 amounts
• Donate hygiene items like dishsoap, shampoo and laundry soap
• Donate toys to Salvation Army Angel Tree, Toys for Tots, or KidVantage (all KIAC families will be registered to receive gifts from one of these places)

Donations can be dropped off at KIAC Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at our Bremerton office – 3627 Wheaton Way Suite 106 (lower entrance). Please bring donations by December 4th! You can also donate funds that we will use to purchase what is needed after all donateions are received. Select “Holiday Celebration” from the drop-down.
