Leadership Changes at KIAC

Dear Friends of KIAC,

On behalf of KIAC’s Board of Directors, I am writing to let you know of a leadership change here at Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center. Jayson Vega is no longer with KIAC. The Board expresses gratitude for his time and service over the last ten months.

During this time of transition, KIAC’s Board of Directors and Leadership Team are working closely together to ensure that KIAC continues to be the stable resource our clients have come to trust and expect. The standards of inclusion, equity, respect and social justice by which KIAC has come to be known will be capably carried on by newly-appointed Interim Executive Director, Kimberly Cizek Allen. 

Over the last two years, Kim has served at KIAC in the role of Development & Marketing Director, earning the respect and trust of the KIAC team. Kim’s dedication to KIAC’s mission, in addition to her organizational knowledge of KIAC and non-profit workings, will ensure a stable transition.

We honor and recognize that changes like this can be difficult and bring with them uncertainty. As a KIAC supporter, you are the backbone of our organization, making this work possible every day. We hope you know how much we appreciate your belief in our mission and trust in our organization. KIAC is a strong and healthy organization that is making a significant impact in the lives of immigrants now and will continue to do so for many years to come.

A Message from Kim:

For the past two years, I have served in the role of Development & Marketing Director here at Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center. I am so impressed by the work we do here at KIAC – providing Family, Immigration Legal, and Tax & Business services to over 2,000 immigrants each year. I work alongside some of the most capable, compassionate people I know and am honored to continue contributing at KIAC in the role of Interim Executive Director.

In the coming weeks and months, I will be working closely with KIAC’s Board and Leadership Team to build upon the successes of my predecessors. We are doing such good, necessary work for and with the immigrants we serve, and I look forward to using my skills, experience and passion to continue investing in the stability and growth of KIAC’s mission.

Querido amigo de KIAC,

De parte de la Junta Directiva de KIAC, le escribo para informarle sobre un cambio de liderazgo aquí en el Centro de Asistencia para Inmigrantes de Kitsap. Jayson Vega ya no está con KIAC. La Junta expresa su gratitud por su tiempo y servicio durante los últimos diez meses.

Durante este tiempo de transición, la Junta Directiva y el Equipo de Liderazgo de KIAC están trabajando en estrecha colaboración para garantizar que KIAC continúe siendo el recurso estable en el que nuestros clientes confían. Los estándares de inclusión, equidad, respeto y justicia social por los que se conoce a KIAC serán llevados a cabo hábilmente por la recién nombrada Directora Ejecutiva Interina, Kimberly Cizek Allen.

Durante los últimos dos años, Kim se ha desempeñado en KIAC en el cargo de directora de desarrollo y marketing, ganándose el respeto y la confianza del equipo de KIAC. La dedicación de Kim a la misión de KIAC, además de su conocimiento organizacional de KIAC y el funcionamiento en el sector no lucrativo, garantizará una transición estable.

Honramos y reconocemos que cambios como este pueden ser difíciles y traen consigo incertidumbre y, a menudo, emociones. Como voluntario de KIAC, usted es  la columna vertebral de nuestra organización, haciendo posible este trabajo todos los días. Esperamos que sepa cuánto apreciamos su creencia en nuestra misión y confianza en nuestra organización. KIAC es una organización fuerte y saludable que está teniendo un impacto significativo en la vida de los inmigrantes ahora y continuará haciéndolo durante muchos años por venir.

Un mensaje de Kim:

Desde agosto de 2021, he desempeñado el cargo de Directora de Desarrollo y Mercadeo aquí en el Centro de Asistencia para Inmigrantes de Kitsap. Estoy muy impresionada por el trabajo que hacemos aquí en KIAC: brindamos servicios familiares, legales de inmigración y de impuestos y negocios a más de 2,000 inmigrantes cada año. Trabajo junto a algunas de las personas más capaces y compasivas que conozco y me siento honrado de continuar contribuyendo en KIAC en el papel de Director Ejecutivo Interino.

En las próximas semanas y meses, trabajaré en estrecha colaboración con la Junta Directiva y el Equipo de Liderazgo de KIAC para aprovechar los éxitos de mis predecesores. Estamos haciendo un trabajo tan bueno y necesario para y con los inmigrantes a los que servimos, y espero usar mis habilidades, experiencia y pasión para continuar invirtiendo en la estabilidad y el crecimiento de la misión de KIAC.
