Following up on a community information meeting in March, the KIAC legal team went back to Forks last weekend to guide individual clients in preparing to apply for immigration programs benefiting childhood arrivals and parents of American citizens. With the help of community organizers and local translators, KIAC met with 21 clients in this under served region of our state. We also did some coaching for people who are sole proprietors regarding keeping good business records. We helped one person with a case of employer exploitation.
With the help of your donations, KIAC will also be reaching out to other outlying areas, including Aberdeen, Sequim and North Mason County. More than 149 clients eligible for these programs are currently being served out of our Bremerton office.
